Lori and I flew from our respective airports to Miami, and from there, we flew together to Lima. Actually, navigating the Miami airport was the most difficult leg of our nine-day journey. Upon landing in Lima, we were met at the airport by a wonderful guide from Condor Travel. She collected us and our bags, and drove us to Jose Antonio hotel in Moraflores, a district of Lima. After a rather strange, late-nite dinner of boiled potatoes in a bland yellow sauce, we headed off to bed. Our plane for Cuzco left early the next morning. Silly us, we turned down our waiter's offer of a Pisco Sour. At that point, we didn't know what we were saying (a little foreshadowing there).
